Position Details:
We’re looking for a Lead Hard Surface Artist who’s passionate about building extraordinary new experiences that inspire others. Great art makes for great games, so you’ll play a crucial role in bringing our first title to life.
YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Modeling, texturing and engine implementation of vehicles and equipment for a game developed with the Unreal Engine
- Working with the art team and technical directors to establish best practices for the vehicles and equipment game assets
- Managing a dedicated project team including establishing deliverables and reviewing assets
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience creating video game art
- Hard surface modeling experience
- Strong working knowledge of 3DS Max or Maya
- Strong working knowledge of Photoshop and texture creation for use in PBR shaders
- A passion for video games, both making them and playing them
- Solid understanding of authentic vehicle function and operation
- Experience leading or mentoring other artists
- Experience reviewing assets
- Solid understanding of asset optimization techniques/challenges
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong portfolio of vehicles and other hard surface art examples
- AAA oc/console game development experience
